I would never have guessed that this place would have scenery like this until I saw it?
first the view as we started the drive then as we entered the cloud, suddenly we’re in a very eerie movie about eg encountering your past and future selves in a strange wood things looming up out of the mist perfect place to bury a love rival? I’m sure in the sunshine that is just a very nice mattress/sofa to sit on in the sun. but in the cloud, extremely eerie what’s in those woods? oh, just the past and the god Pan. the god Pan lives up there. these trees don’t like you. they’ve been here for hundreds of years and they just. don’t like you. but suddenly, is that blue in the sky? could be, though it’s all still looking a bit sinister no that’s definitely blue literally, there are the clouds at the edge of the road you can look down on them. the valley is a bowlful of cloud like a bowl of whipped cream literally there’s the cloud looks like you could walk on it (don’t try) I don’t know why this mountain is glowing like that, but there we go it’s Tenerife. it’s actual Tenerife. Tenerife. Which until a few years ago I thought of as the most boring Anglo holiday destination in the world. Shows what I know.
